| Biography | James Britt (http://www.jamesbritt.com/about) is a local software developer and consultant. He runs Neurogami (http://www.neurogami.com/) a local application development company with an emphasis on Ruby and JRuby.
Active in the Ruby community since 2001, James runs Ruby-doc.org, the main Ruby documentation site. He is also the project leader for Monkeybars, a rapid cross-platform GUI development library for JRuby + Swing.
James has published articles in magazines such as Dr. Dobbs and Linux Journal, presented at numerous Ruby conferences around the world, and wrote most of the Web development section in the current edition of the book The Ruby Way.
James is the recreational coordinator the Phoenix Ruby Users Group (http://www.rubyaz.org/) and is has been key in building up the Valley geek community, having been a main instigator for Refresh Phoenix, Ignite Phoenix, Barcamp Phoenix, and other Valley events. |
